What do you do if you’re an overworked, time-pressed teacher?
You sign away your very limited free time by enrolling to study creative writing with the Open University, of course!
I took two creative writing courses, learned loads and then won two prizes in short story competitions. Buoyed up by my success, I embarked on my first novel, a historical story set in the 1920’s. I finished it, then put it away in a drawer and that was that.
I moved abroad to teach, and after several years of working, adventuring and blogging (www.channellingmrtoad.com) I returned to England, determined to write a murder mystery. “Murder at the Herald” is the result, and I hope you enjoy it.
I am currently redrafting my historical novel and dreaming up new plots for a series of murder mysteries.
I am represented by Imogen Pelham of Marjacq Scripts Ltd, 235 High Holborn, London WC1V 7DN.
